KAO appoints BANG PR to launch new hair styling product

Receiving a sold-out response from Japan, BANG launches new hair styling brand, Liese in Singapore

Singapore, 16 November 2007 – Kao Singapore has tasked TNBT’s BANG PR to provide public relations support to launch two of its latest hair styling products ‘Clear Cube Wax’ and ‘Wave Up Foam’ by Liese.  

Manufactured in Japan, Liese is Japan’s number 1 selling hair styling brand and has been developed to suit the hair texture and hair styles of most modern Asian women. The products are available in all Watson stores since 1 November 2007.

In a media launch activity developed by BANG, various lifestyle and beauty media were given a first-hand experience by celebrity hair stylist, Shunji Matsuo to try the true styling power of Liese.

Celebrity Japanese hair stylist, Shunji Matsuo has styled the hairs of local celebrities such as Joanne Peh, famous Japanese icons such as Sony Founder Akio Morita and his wife, and international stars such as Cindy Crawford, Christie Brinkley and Naomi Campbell. The choice of Shunji Matsuo as an endorser is clear as he provides a strong endorsement statement befitting of the popular Liese brand.

Mr Shunji Matsuo, celebrity hairstylist who is a big fan of Liese said, “The hair of Asians is fine and needs more care. Liese products which is non oily and sticky holds the style well, especially given the hot and humid climate of Singapore. The nourishing quality of Liese also means women can now get a quick styling fix without worrying about damaging their crowning glories.
