BANG PR Takes on Dyslexia in Singapore
BANG PR to highlight Dyslexia Association of Singapore’s leading role in the use of the Orton-Gillingham Method
Singapore, 21 April 2008 – The Dyslexia Association of Singapore (DAS) has tasked TNBT’s BANG PR to provide public relations support for the visit of key speakers, Ms Angela Wilkins and Ms Jean M. Foss, highlighting the use of the Orton-Gillingham Method in Singapore.
The Dyslexia Association of Singapore is a non-profit organisation that aims to deliver quality, comprehensive and effective professional educational and support services for dyslexic people. It is especially committed to serving the needs of dyslexic young children, with difficulties in reading, writing and spelling.
BANG PR provided public relations support for visit of Ms Angela Wilkins and Ms Jean M. Foss from the Academy of Orton-Gillingham Practitioners and Educators in the USA, also non-profit educational organization incorporated in 1995 in the State of New York. The key speakers conducted three public seminars on understanding dyslexia and to observe Singapore’s dyslexic education programmes from 7 April to 11 April 2008.
Managing Director of BANG PR, Ms Koh Juat Muay said, “We believe this is a very important project for us as we not only get to increase awareness of the situation of dyslexia in Singapore but support the Dyslexic Association of Singapore in their work as a leading professional institution dedicated to helping dyslexic people progress.”
BANG PR is responsible for strategic PR counsel, media management and media tracking for the project from April to May 2008.
