BANG gets fit with Fitness First
Largest health club group in the world, Fitness First tasks BANG PR to handle publicity for its clubs in Singapore.
Singapore, 25 February 2008 – Fitness First has appointed TNBT’s BANG PR to provide public relations support for its clubs in Singapore.
Fitness First is now the largest health club group in the world with more than 1.4 million Fitness First members in over 500 clubs worldwide. In the Asia Pacific alone, Fitness First has over 140 clubs. The first Fitness First club in Singapore opened in September 2003 in Paragon Shopping Mall. Today, there are eight clubs operating in Singapore.
The win comes after the Fitness First “Gift of Hope” Group Exercise Marathon in October 2007 where the company raised $37,000 for the Children’s Cancer Foundation (CCF), helping cancer-stricken children and their families battle the illness. The group exercise marathon received an overwhelming response from over 800 sports enthusiasts who brought along their families, friends and colleagues to take part in the exercise. BANG PR handled publicity for the event.
Managing Director of BANG PR, Ms Koh Juat Muay said, “We are very happy to work with Fitness First again. As demands today are very high in a health and fitness conscious society, we are also very honoured to represent a world-class fitness club dedicated to offering its members not only good health, but also a quality experience.”
“This is our first PR retainer appointment and BANG PR’s creative PR approach and proven track record of success were just what we were looking for to further develop the brand and strengthen our relationship with the media. We seek not just to share our expert knowledge but to also strengthen our effort and links with the community”, said Sarah See, Marketing Manager of Fitness First Singapore.
