ALONSO WINS FIRST FORMULA ONE GRAND PRIX NIGHT-RACE WITH A BANG!
Singapore, 29 September 2008 – Fernando Alonso, etched his name in the books of Grand Prix Formula One history yesterday as the winner of the first ever night-race staged in the world.
In preparation for the Formula One Grand Prix 2008 held in Singapore, Renault Singapore has appointed BANG PR to manage publicity leading up to the race. BANG PR focused on getting media down for a tour around the ING-Renault pit as well as pitching for interviews with Chris Chua, a local Renault technician who has been selected to be a honorary position in the ING Renault F1 Team.
Besides this, BANG was responsible for guest and media relations for the Renault F1 Team Party, which was held on 27 September at Raffles Hotel.
Renault launched two cars on Saturday, the first 4 X 4 by Renault – The KOLEOS and the Laguna Coupe. Fernando Alonso made a grand entrance by driving the Laguna Coupe into the party venue. Singapore is the first in Asia to launch the KOLEOS.
BANG also invited media to a Lucas Di Grassi Meet and Greet at Tangs Plaza where a replica of the original Formula One racing car was displayed.
