VETERAN JOURNALIST CLEMENT MESENAS JOINS BANG PUBLIC RELATIONS

Clement Mesenas, previous TODAY journalist has joined BANG PR as Director of Editorial and Media Advisory

Singapore, 29 October 2008 - Veteran journalist Clement Mesenas has joined BANG Public Relations as its Director, Editorial & Media Advisory. Mr Mesenas has held senior positions in TODAY and the Straits Times, where he began his journalistic career 40 years ago. He also worked 20 years in the Middle East where he was Managing Editor of the Kuwait Times and Deputy Editor of the Dubai Gulf News before returning to Singapore to join the pioneer team at MediaCorp’s TODAY.

He was Secretary-General of the Singapore National Union of Journalists and a co-founder of the Asean Confederation of Asean Journalists. He also sits on the editorial board of AsiaViews, an Asean news organisation and is active in NGO activities furthering the well-being of migrant workers.

Managing Director of BANG PR, Ms Koh Juat Muay said: “Clement brings to our team a depth of editorial experience which will catalyse new synergies and provide our clients with the media strategy to project their image across the various media platforms.”

At BANG, he will provide strategic communication expertise in all client accounts and help grow the company’s business operations globally, particularly in the Middle East.
